Christianity is the
study of the divine beginning in a person.
Christianity is a very simple thing: love other persons,
as you love God. Be as perfect as your father in heaven. Live in the spirit of
God, making the best things, in the best possible way, for the best purposes.
Even a small child can understand these ideas, and even a great mind cannot improve
upon them.
— THEODORE PARKER
Without the clear
understanding of the meaning of one’s life, without faith, a person can at any
minute deny good and start worshipping evil.
A person cannot have
complete understanding of the meaning of life. A person can only know its direction.
The essence of all
religious teachings is love. What is special in Christianity is teachings about
love, the clear and exact statement of the major condition of love:
nonresistance to evil and violence.
If you want to be
quiet and strong, work and improve your faith.
